Curling Rules

Objective

Score more points than the opposing team by placing your stones closer to the center of the house (target) than any of your opponent's stones.

Game Structure

  • A game consists of 4 ends (rounds).
  • Each team throws 4 stones per end, alternating throws between teams.
  • The team with the hammer (last stone advantage) throws last.

Scoring

  • After all stones are thrown in an end, only one team scores.
  • The team with the stone closest to the center (button) scores.
  • They score 1 point for each stone closer to the center than the opponent's closest stone.
  • If no stones are in the house, the end is blank (0-0).

Hammer

  • The team that scores gives the hammer to the other team next end.
  • On a blank end, hammer stays with the same team.

Free Guard Zone (FGZ)

  • During the first 5 stones of each end, opponents' guard stones between the hog line and tee line (but outside the house) are protected.
  • If you knock a protected guard out of play, it is restored and your stone is removed as penalty.

Extra Ends

If the score is tied after 4 ends, up to 2 extra ends are played. If still tied, the game ends as a draw.

Controls

  • Aim: Tap/drag on the canvas to set the direction.
  • Power: Adjust the slider to control throw strength.
  • Throw: Tap the throw button when ready.
